The Spa at Four Seasons: Ultimate indulgence of the senses
by: Dina Indrasafitri

The quest of finding the perfect spa in Jakarta would probably land one in frustration. Some experiences leave us with undesirable results while some others feature special treatments for male customers contrary to what they are looking for. It may appear to spa lovers that the spa centers in Jakarta do not offer sophiscated decent treatments for the weary soul.

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel in Kuningan proves otherwise. It thrives to ensure that its patrons receive the five-star treatment they deserve. Embarking on the mission towards excellence, it has indeed surpassed expectations that by word of mouth, many have come to know this is the spa to be for a fulfilling wholesome treatment.

The Spa is easily accessible. If you are a hotel guest, take a lift down to the lobby and head for the spa. If not, enter by the hotel's main entrance into the lobby and proceed to the spa which is on the same level.

Once you are inside The Spa, it feels as if you are suddenly teleported to an exquisite hideaway somewhere far away from the bustling Kuningan street. The dim lighting system is soothing to one's soul and complements The Spa's Zen-like style. Dark wood paneling alternated with frosted glass doors will calm you down as you walk along the hallway, your footsteps echoing on the light, Japanese-style wooden floor.

The Spa consists of two floors. The upper deck is occupied by a juice bar along with a section for relaxation – a perfect spot to wind down before experiencing the treatments. Be sure to try the fragrant ginger tea which perks you up. Inside the upper deck's hall you will find a large room with adjustable lightings to suit the participant's mood, while across from the room is a petite beauty salon with hairdressing, manicure and pedicure services.

Descend the winding stairs to find an even more secluded haven marked with the serene sounds of trickling waters. This is where the spa rooms are located. Take your pick from the single or couple rooms. Each room is simple yet luxurious with its marble tiling and pale green, frosted glass shower partitions. The beds look rather plain and a little hospital-like, but in the very near future it would be replaced with more authentic versions. Two Jacuzzi pools and cold soaking pools are available in both the men and women section, but sauna rooms are only available in the men section.

Traditional Indonesian techniques along with other methods, such as the deep tissue, are used in the massage treatments. The Spa also uses all-natural, organic products from a well-known manufacturer to guarantee that the guests be pampered in the purest form.

Surely, with such attentive details and excellent services, The Spa at Four Seasons is highly recommended as one of the top-notch spas in Jakarta . Do not hesitate to surrender your weary body into their care, for a boost.
