When you hungry, Bandung offers some places serving various food and drink. Many offer some comfortable places for lunch and dinner complete with live music and local singers. Some cafes are joined together with galleries. While you are eating the dinner, you can enjoy the performances held at these galleries. Bandung also offers hawker street food and there are many sleek, modern restaurants. For the more casual, take a stroll along Jl Braga.

All the big hotels have good restaurants.

  • Arar
Check out Arar, with its pond and outdoor dining.

  • Citrus
Go to Citrus for fusion food and good wine.

  • Kampung Daun
A gallery café. At galleries and cafes, you also can see some traditional art and local culture. There are several folk songs recommended for you to enjoy. For example tarawangsa, ogle, beluk, and calung. Bandung also offers some traditional music. One of them is Angklung. The Angklung is an instrument made from bamboo pipes which produces a very melodious tone. You can see an ancient puppet named Wayang Golek. This wooden puppet is a play of figures carved and painted on wood. The characters are shaped as those in the episodes of the Hindu Mahabrata and Ramayana.
