Ulster County is one of the most beautiful areas in the state of New York and is an areas possessed of a rich and vibrant history that stretches back to the birth of this country. Ulster Country is a haven for those interested in the history of New York. New Paltz is one of the oldest communities in America and is still home to a traditional Huguenot District and houses the oldest street in America. This historic town also houses many quaint and interesting shops and sites of historical note.

Ulster County is also known for its amazing scenery. The beautiful Catskill Mountains set a striking contrast against the Hudson River that winds its way through the state. This river provides an excellent selection of recreational activities during the warmer seasons including boating of all kinds, numerous water sports and a great selection of fishing. during the winter months, these same mountains feature excellent skiing, both cross-country and downhill as well as snowboarding, even ice climbing if you are the adventurous sort. Ulster County really has something for everyone.

Also located in Ulster County is the original capital of New York State, Kingston. Kingston is also the major shopping district within the county, featuring stores of every description and a lively culinary scene. There is no other place quite like Ulster County, with a excellent education systems and great services and amenities for residents, its a place that anyone can truly call home.
