For Easier Access to the Tailgate

By: Anthony Fontanelle

Lincoln is one of the automobile brands with the longest history of providing high-end vehicles for American consumers. Currently a division of Ford, Lincoln exceeds its competitors when it comes to unique designs, luxury features, and powerful engines. In 1917, Lincoln was founded by Henry Leland, a manufacturer of car parts and the founder of the Cadillac brand. It was named after Leland's favorite American president, Abraham Lincoln. Among the company's earliest models were the L Series and the K Series. However, the company suffered financial problems so Leland was forced to sell it to the Ford Motor Company in 1922. From thereon, Lincoln started to dominate the luxury car market with its models like the Continental, Versailles, and the Town Car.

Today, the Lincoln brand has various awards under its belt. A couple of these are the 2007 Top Honors in the J.D. Power's 2007 Initial Quality Survey (IQS) for its Lincoln MKZ model and the Interior of The Year for the Lincoln MKZ and the Navigator. Topping in quality surveys only means that Lincoln puts much emphasis on the quality of its vehicles and its vehicle parts.

Durability and functionality are two factors that are always present in Lincoln vehicle parts such as the tailgate handle. The Lincoln tailgate is a board that can be found at the back of a Lincoln vehicle. It is usually offered in chrome and shiny paint finish. For easier loading and unloading of cargoes and baggage, the tailgate can either be raised or lowered. To fully operate it, one needs a fully functional Lincoln tailgate handle. Although handles are one of the most abused car parts, they still fail to get the proper kind of maintenance they deserve. The Lincoln tailgate handle, for example, is used to raise or lower the tailgate with ease. Most car owners, however, believe that it does not look good on the tailgate so they usually have it removed. But without the Lincoln tailgate handle, convenience is actually compromised.

To remedy this situation, car owners are advised to use a customized or aftermarket which can enhance the tailgate's appearance. It can also be covered or relocated. Lincoln tailgate handle covers are commonly of elegant paint finish although others can be customized. On the other hand, Lincoln tailgate handle relocator kits are used when relocating the tailgate handle at the other side of the tailgate. By doing this, the Lincoln tailgate handle can be hidden but can still function properly. For best results, one must know which Lincoln tailgate handles fit their Lincoln vehicle to enjoy this auto part's full functionality.
