By: Anthony Fontanelle
Pure Luxury Transportation, an associate of the Green Ride Global program which was established in the early going of 2008 is on full speed to go beyond its greenhouse gas (GHG) lessening goals for the 2008 calendar year. Pure Luxury Transportation with their exceptional has come up with exceptional results around company-wide GHG reductions in the first four months of its environmental programming since becoming a certified Green Ride Global associate. The company also went on board on an insistent environmental sustainability program to lessen the environmental trail of the entire features of their business.

"We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations. Our entire staff has been diligent in participating in the reduction of our greenhouse gas output. As a result, I am pleased to announce that we have achieved a reduction of 3 metric tons or 16% per vehicle, compared to the same quarter last year. This is the equivalent of adding approximately 3 acres of forest in the San Francisco area," says Jennifer Buffo, Chief Operating Officer of Pure Luxury Transportation.

Furthermore, the program which was managed under the leadership of Green Ride Global is intended to cause a 20% decline in Pure Luxury's GHG emissions more than the next 5 to 10 years.

"Reductions in emissions correlate directly to lower operating costs, which will help offset the rising cost of fuel. We will continue to pass on these savings to our clients," says Buffo. "We are also able to pass on our GHG emissions reductions to our clients because we can provide reports tracking the emissions attributed to their trips."

"Pure Luxury is a model client of Green Ride Global. Their entire team is driven; focused, diligent and determined to do everything they can to reduce greenhouse gas emissions," says Justin Raymond, President and CEO of Green Ride Global who fervently praises Pure Luxury's success.

Pure Luxury was capable to accomplish these cutbacks without the existence of a single hybrid with green on its fleet which was even more impressive.

"In our opinion, a luxury ground transportation vehicle has not yet been made available with the current roster of hybrids on the market. As the livery industry waits for the next generation of hybrid vehicles to align with its luxury needs, we have demonstrated that a staff of conscientious employees and chauffeurs can make great strides toward environmental sustainability," Buffalo added.
