Hyundais Santa Fe: a Promising Crossover

By: Correy Putton

Due to the decline of the popularity of station wagons and the bad reputations sports utility vehicles are gaining, automobile manufacturers are now riding the so called crossover bandwagon. Producing cars which looks like SUVs but built upon a unibody construction design used in smaller cars. This is not only cheaper but the buyer is having the best of both worlds. Crossover cars are now plentiful with manufacturers moving in on the market of these cars.

The largest Korean automobile manufacturer is surely not left behind for Hyundai just released its crossover car - the Santa Fe - which was built entirely on its Montgomery Plant located in the state of Alabama. And what they have made is not just your ordinary crossover car; it is of high quality, pays a lot of attention to details and has a head turning exterior design and a jaw dropping elegant interior. It is loaded with features any car owner would surely like to have in his car.

Aside from the high performance , it is loaded with equipments like the electronic stability control and traction control, both of which are a big help in the stability of the car and its handling performance. Along with these, the car is also equipped with the anti-lock braking system, side curtain airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, and active head restraints to increase the safety of both driver and passengers.

The power plant behind this car is a 2.7 liter V6 engine with the capacity of giving the car the pulling power of 185 horses and using a four-speed automatic transmission to get all that power to its wheels, the car is a finely tuned machine.

A lot of attention has been given to details; this is where the Santa Fe gets a lot of its praises. From the comfortable steering wheel and to the soft blue light which illuminates the cup holder at night, the manufacturer left nothing to chance. Also featured are power heated mirrors and easy to open tailgates. Convenience is what this car brings to the table by paying a lot of attention to details.

Space for the passengers is adequate, with the standard two rows of seating it gives the passengers enough legroom and headspace. For cargoes, additional space is provided in its under-the-floor divider.

Drivers would love cruising around in the Santa Fe with its easy to use controls and the convenient dashboard arrangement, making driving a pleasurable experience.

In the tradition of the Hyundai Company and in its dedication towards taking care of its customer as symbolized in their logo, symbolically showing two people shaking hands, the car has an awesome warranty package. The car comes with a five year or a 60,000 mile new car warranty, a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty and a five-year unlimited roadside assistance program.
