Volkswagens Innovative Models Debut at Geneva Motor Show

For the Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen presents an abundance of innovative models consisting of Volkswagen Golf Variant and the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion. And to reflect the subtle evolution that Volkswagen pioneering luxury car has undergone, Europe's largest automaker will also present it new Phaeton.

The Phaeton is a sedan that features a new V6 TDI that meets the Euro-5 standard and considered to be a first in its class. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will also join at the Geneva Motor Show and will unveil two of its concept vans-the Caddy Life Edition and the Multivan PanAmericana.

The Volkswagen Golf Variant that will debut at the Geneva Motor Show is the third generation of its type. Its TDI engine revs up 77kW/105 PS and consumes just 5.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. Its cargo space can accommodate 1,550 liters. The Variant is expected to arrive at dealership in early summer of this year. The Variant synthesizes the new and classic styling elements that distinguishes the Golf form its rivals.

The Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion for its debut at the Geneva Motor Show will demonstrate the fuel economy is possible in car that is one class higher. The Passat BlueMOtion consumes 5.1 liters of diesel for the sedan while 5.2 liters is for the Passat BlueMOtion Variant.

The new Volkswagen Phaeton V6 TDI is a powerful 233 PS luxury sedan that meets the Euro-5 standards. Various new technical features were equipped into all the Phaeton versions such as the 'Front Assist' which enables safe braking at extreme conditions whenever it is needed. Aside from the Front, the Phaeton also features 'Side Assist' which monitors the periphery of the vehicle. It also comes equipped with bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and a navigation system offered with DVD support.

The Caddy Life Edition and Multivan PanAmericana are powered by the economical TDI engines. The Caddy bus is renowned as the sportiest version in its model series while the Multivan PanAmericana was created for life's biggest adventures, which is reflected by its elevated ground clearance.
