A latest Dodge brand survey revealed that 68 percent of fathers had that little red wagon when they were still kids. So the brand decided to help dads carry on the wagon tradition with their kids by giving the fathers a chance to win their very own big red wagon.
In lieu of this, Dodge will join the celebration of Father's Day on June 15 by giving the dads chance to win an all-new 2007 Dodge Magnum, along with a new little red wagon in a spectacular one-of-a-kind Father's Day challenge.
Teams of fathers and their children will be invited to participate in the "Dodge Magnum Big Red Wagon" challenge in Philadelphia, Pa. the challenge will include flipping burgers, packing up the car for a family picnic, perfecting touchdown passes. In 15 minutes, fathers should test drive their "super-dad" skills by racing through a dad-themed obstacle course. In every obstacle area, the iconic ways which families celebrate Father's Day will be seen. The keys to a 2007 Dodge Magnum will be won by the father who earns the highest score. But in this challenge, no one is a looser because each participating teams will get a little red Radio Flyer wagon, plus different other prizes.
A Dodge brand survey revealed that out of 10 Americans, seven of whom prefer grilling barbecues as the activity they most do on Father's Day. So the Dodge brand will ignite the "Dodge Magnum Big Red Wagon" event by firing up a gigantic HEMI(R) grill for the participants of the challenge.
According to a Dodge brand survey more than seven out of 10 Americans (71 percent) picked barbecues as the activity they most associate with Father's Day. To bring this tradition to life, the Dodge brand will heat up the "Dodge Magnum Big Red Wagon" event by firing up a gigantic HEMI(R) grill for the challenge attendees.
Moreover, the Dodge brand will also commend the efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia and the positive impact they have on kids. This will be done by donating $25 for every team that signs up to participate in the challenge. A total donation will sum up to $5,000.
Mike Accavitti, Director of Dodge Brand and SRT Marketing and Communications, said that Dodge Magnum is high performance yet stylish automobile that perfectly suits for the new generation dads. According to him, they want to give the dads a chance to stretch their muscles, enjoy with their children and compete for the chance to win two new brand new family vehicles which are the Magnum and Radio Flyer wagon.
The participants' registration
Fifteen (15) teams will be composed of fathers and a maximum of two children between 3 to 10 years old. Any one interested can register online at the Dodge Magnum Big Red Wagon web site. The registration already started last May 10 and will end on June 4 at 11:59 in the evening.
Participants should submit an essay composed of 250 words that answers questions like: "Why would winning a Dodge Magnum be the ultimate Father's Day gift?" and "How would a new Dodge Magnum help you be a better dad?"
All father participants must be at least 18 years old. Each must have a valid driver's license at the time of entry. And of course, he must be the parent or legal guardian of the kid or kids on their team.
To further qualify, each participant must be legal residents of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia or Washington D.C. Each shall be held responsible for the transportation back and forth the ultimate Father's Day event.
