Ford Motor Company's 2008 model year of the Lincoln Navigator full size SUV offers a host of standard features inside and out as well as optional features for the customers to choose from. The 2008 Lincoln Navigator is also available with the L (long wheelbase) trim.
According to Ford, "the Lincoln Navigator's expressive design brings a unique elegance and an unrivaled presence to the full-size luxury-utility segment."
Both the Lincoln Navigator and Navigator L will roll out in U.S. markets with two drive train configurations: 4x2 and 4x4. Standard exterior features for the vehicles include Power liftgate, bold chrome grille, high-intensity-discharge (HID) projector headlamps, integrated fog lamps, prominent "powerdome" hood, chiseled side mirror shells, Lincoln-signature chrome strip, chrome body-side trim, wing-shaped lamps, and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels or available 20-inch chrome wheels. For 2008, the Navigator comes in three exterior colors including White Suede Clearcoat Metallic, Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic, and Stone Green Clearcoat Metallic. The vehicle is also equipped with parking lights, just like found on the GMC Yukon XL.
In addition, Ford also includes an optional Monochrome Limited Edition Package. This exclusive feature consists of unique badge, body-color lower grille, lower bodyside cladding, upper chrome grille, and power-folding heated mirrors with puddle lamps.
Inside, the 2008 Lincoln Navigator comes with a comfortable and luxurious interior. The Navigator is equipped with Dark Ebony or Anigre wood trim on the console and upper door panels. Other interior features include standard 10-way power driver and front passenger seats, power-adjustable pedals, available 40/20/40-split second row seat and 60/40-split third row, and standard PowerFold third row.
Moreover, the vehicles are also equipped with a host of interior amenities and in-car entertainment functions. These include voice-activated DVD-based navigation system, THX II-Certified audio system, AM/FM tuner compatible with the Radio Data Broadcasting System (RDBS), and available entertainment system with an 8-inch screen and two wireless headphones. The Monochrome Limited Edition Package also offers interior upgrades like four monochromatic exterior treatments: White Chocolate Tri-coat, Black Clearcoat, Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic and Stone Green Clearcoat Metallic, and other features including unique black carpet and floormats, Ebony wood trim, unique Stone or Camel seats with black leather inserts and black piping, and stitched Lincoln logo on the headrests.
Safety is an extremely important factor for the 2008 Lincoln Navigator.
