Does it really matter why you want to lose weight? Is it going to boost your self esteem, appeal to the opposite sex, or just improve your health. Whatever the case is you really need to lose weight and you have to have dieting motivation to do it. Without dieting motivation losing weight Is very hard!



How Are You Going to Lose Weight?



So how are you going to go about losing weight? Are you going to start exercising everyday and eating right? Don't just answer this question with a yes answer. Answer it with a yes I am going to start dieting and exercising everyday in order to lose 2 pounds a week. Take baby steps when you are losing weight.



Don't get overwhelmed if you start out not losing weight. In fact most people fail at dieting 5-10 times before they finally succeed. Eating is addicting so stop telling yourself that it is not addicting. Find out why you eat. Is it emotional eating?



I have noticed many times when people start dieting they think about food all of the time. Their main focus to their dieting is food. Dieting is so much more than just food though. It is a lifestyle change. You simply have to deal with your hunger for a little while. After awhile you will not notice it as much.



Don't Starve Yourself



I am clearly not saying that you should starve yourself in order to diet correctly. This is counterproductive. In fact starving yourself is the worst thing you can ever do. This slows down your metabolism and causes you not lose any weight.



Follow These Simple Tips And You Will See Success!



Tip 1: Keep a journal handy. Keep track of what you eat every day. It is important to chart your daily calorie consumption too. Did you exercise more? Did you eat a more balanced diet? This journal will be your friend over time. Upon having the journal you may notice in as little as one week personal attitude changes.



Tip 2: Discipline yourself to not eat junk food. You know the food that you shouldn't be eating so stay away from it. Don't fall in the habit of eating fast food every day. This might be the reason why you are in this situation. Fast food is garbage and you know it!



Tip 3: Be Realistic. If you want to lose weight than you have to be realistic. Don't expect to lose 25 pounds in a week. Remember that you have to start slow and take baby steps if you really want to succeed. By taking baby steps you are building your dieting motivation up.



Tip 4: Don't get worried if you gain a pound or two. When your body first starts dieting your body is going through changes it is natural to gain a pound of two. Your body has to readjust to its lifestyle change.
