Sustainable Energy: Fact or Fiction?

By: rsbombard
Assume that you are in the year 2050 and 50% to 60% of the world's energy is being contributed by renewable sources of energy. If you woke up one fine morning and the air-conditioning in your room is being run by using nuclear energy, your car running on fuel cells and you check your email on your laptop which runs on photovoltaic cells on your 60 minute commute to work and the electricity at your work place is entirely provided by the nearest wind farm, would you have thought it was all possible? Would you have mistaken it all for fantasy, a mere figment of imagination or downright fiction?

It could all be true and it started seeing truth already. A part of world's energy consumption is already being contributed by renewable sources world's energy consumption is already being contributed by renewable sourcesof energy in varied forms like biomass energy, fuel cells, geothermal energy, ocean energy, hybrid generators and even more ways to generate heat, energy and power.

The world is getting flatter alright, energy experts now want it cleaner and to see that it runs on energy sources which can never be diminished. They certainly do not want to see rapid depletion of their ever critical sources of energy, which they have witnessed with our deal old fossil fuels and coal.

Things have already started to fall in place. Countries like Sweden and Denmark have been successfully tapping into the abundant energy sources abound on the planet in so many forms that it is sometimes tedious to fathom. Most countries are on their way to reform their federal, fiscal and economic policies to get protocols into place and to thrust the importance and the practicality of using such sustainable energy sources and to help prevent earth's atmosphere from ruining due to the climbing rate of air-pollution.

Plans to bring in major reforms have become the number one priority for the world leaders. They are more than convinced to see a better, brighter and more relaxed tomorrow and obviate the hustle-bustle, albeit a poisonous one at that, altogether.

Air-pollution is and will remain a serious issue to contend with, since 300 or more different types of toxic emissions flooding the atmosphere, all of which can do nothing less than kill all of us. It's time we get to work ridding ourselves of these hazardous emissions. A good place to start is by using (whenever we can) energy sources which don't pollute, including geothermal energy.

Hi, there were other instances too. I could only note down these, owing to a flurry of calls while at it.I think you need to redo this in full. Please comply.
