1) The Notebook (Most Recommended)
Starring: Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

This is undeniably the greatest romantic tearjerker of all. The Notebook, which is adapted from the book written by Nicholas Sparks, tells the story of the love between Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) and Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams), who met in their teenage years but were torn apart because Noah was not rich enough for Allie's rich family. But the love they had for each other never died, even as they grew up and Allie was to be married to a handsome soldier. Allie returns to the Noah's house and after spending a few days together, they cannot bear to part with each other. Word of caution, be sure to have tissues prepared because guys, even you might end up crying as well. 

2) Titanic
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet

Even if you have watched Titanic ten times, you can still watch it again and still tear. Titanic is the classic lovers movie for couples as it shows how one would sacrifice for the sake of true love. Rose Bukater (Kate Winslett), hailing from a rich family meets Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), a poor lad, on board the maiden sail of the ill-fated Titanic. Despite the fact that Rose is engaged, she falls in love with Jack after the latter saved her from jumping. But when the massive Titanic hits an iceberg, the two have to try and survive against all odds.

3) The Wedding Singer 
Starring: Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

Yet another hit by the Sandler and Barrymore duo, The Wedding Singer is one of the sweetest romantic comedies around. Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is a down and out wedding singer who was just dumped by his fiancée. Julia Sullivan (Drew Barrymore), on the other hand, is a waitress, also engaged to be married but she is not aware that her fiancé is a two-timer. With a stroke of luck, the two meet and feelings starts developing. Melt as Robbie sings croons “I Wanna Grow Old With You” to win over Julia's heart.

4) 50 First Dates
Starring: Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

50 First Dates is bound to melt even the hardest of hearts as you watch how far Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) would go to win the heart of the woman of his dreams, Lucy Whitmore. From a man who feared the word commitment, Henry made a complete transformation after meeting Lucy. Only problem is, Lucy cannot remember who he is as she suffers from short-memory loss after an accident that she had. Watch how this once upon a time Casanova tries to win over Lucy, every single day, with his romantic antics, as everyday is a first date for them.

5) Lake House 
Starring: Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock

Slightly similar to the plot of Kate and Leopold, Lake House is about two different people, Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves) and Kate Forster (Sandra Bullocks), who are stuck in two different years and have never laid eyes on each other. What keeps them connected is a mailbox by the Lake House and their only form of communication is through letters. In an attempt to finally meet, Kate has to recall her past and find a way for them to meet in the year 2004, the year that Alex is stuck in, and warn Alex of an incident that could cause them to be separated forever.

6) Kate & Leopold  
Starring: Hugh Grant and Meg Ryan

This highly romantic movie is sure to set off the fuzzy feeling. Revolving around a couple, Kate (Meg Ryan) and Leopold (Hugh Jackman), who are living in two different centuries, Leopold is brought to the future by accident. Upon meeting the modern Kate, the two began to fall in love. For the love of his life, Leopold tries to adapt to life in the modern world with Kate's help, producing some cute and hilarious results. The sweetness of how love conquers all, even centuries will leave a smile on your face.

7) A Walk in The Clouds
Starring: Keanu Reeves and Aitana Sanchez-Gijon

Paul Sutton (Keanu Reeves) meets Victoria Aragon (Aitana Sanchez-Gijon) by chance as he was heading back home from war and she from college. Victoria, who is single and pregnant, worries about heading back to her conservative and staunch Mexican dad because she thinks that he is going to go fly into a rage due to her pregnancy. Offering to help her, Paul offers to pose as her husband for a night. But love began to blossom between the two after they spent some time together back in Victoria's village. When Paul explains his love for Victoria to her dad, violence ensues. Will true love conquer all?

8) Love Actually
Starring: Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth

Having been labeled as the “ideal date movie”, Love Actually is about eight different people in London falling in and out of love as Christmas approaches. You have got the British Prime Minister (Hugh Grant) falling in love with his secretary but is afraid to declare his feelings, a writer (Colin Firth) falling in love with his Portuguese maid, Karen (Emma Thompson), who is the Prime Minister's sister, questioning her husband's love for her and a recently widowed writer (Liam Neeson) who has to learn how to deal with his 11-year-old son, who is falling in love. Granted, it might be a little confusing to follow, but Love Actually exudes warm feelings that will make you appreciate your love one even more.
