O2 Xda Orbit 2 II Joins the Original Xda Orbit on O2 UK

O2 have now launched their new XDA Orbit 2 II PDA smartphone as a direct replacement for the popular O2 XDA Orbit. This new business orientated device offers upgraded features, new technology and a new external design. The XDA Orbit II 2 is actually a branded version of the HTC Touch Cruise which has yet to be released in the UK, the network have rebranded the handset and added their own O2 portal access aswell as O2 services and logo.

The O2 XDA Orbit 2 II has a more powerful processor than the original version aswell as an enhanced camera, it still features the trackwheel navigation that makes it easy for the user to navigate through the menu options but now features 3G enabled facilities that really enhance the user experience such as face to face video calling and access to vast amounts of mobile content including new applications, news and sports headlines, music, videos and movie trailers.

A Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional device, the XDA Orbit II is powered by a 400Mhz Qualcomm processor and features a 2.8 inch touchscreen with handwriting recognition and TouchFlo finger swipe technology along with a full slide out Qwerty keyboard.

The 4-way navigation wheel makes it easier to browse files and online content and the memory can be expanded using the microSD card slot, although the XDA Orbit 2 is compatible with SD 2.0 as a further option.

Complete with Pocket Office and Email Client, the O2 XDA Orbit II sports a built-in GPS Receiver with TomTom Mapping.

With 3G connectivity and HSDPA enabled the XDA Orbit 2 has been fitted with a secondary front mounted camera for video calling in addition to its primary 3.15 mega pixel autofocus camera and video capture & playback.

Other connectivity options include GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth with A2DP support, miniUSB and WiFi capabilities whilst the onboard MP3 Player and FM Radio provide complete entertainment as well as keeping you informed with the latest news and sports headlines.

As a result of all this that O2 have managed to fit into the XDA Orbit II 2, a complete business solution is to hand that will provide all round entertainment at the same time.

The new O2 XDA Orbit 2 is a huge improvement on previous XDA mobile phones and shows the networks dedications to releasing more 3G enabled devices with the tools and features needed for business on the move.
