How To Turn Beer Green |
It can only be on St Patricks day the 17th of March that anyone would consider wanting a recipe for green beer. Unfortunately I don't think that green beer can be purchased at a bar, but a recipe for green beer is pretty damn easy. All that's required is some artificial green coloring. Simply put about 2-3 drops into your beer and give it a gentle stir. Within seconds, a glowing, green pint of beer is yours to drink. You can also use a mixture of 2 drops of blue and 2 drops of yellow artificial coloring but you may as well stick to the obvious. How to turn beer green can only really be achieved with light colored beer such as lager. Trying this with a dark bitter or stout will take a few more than 3 drops of coloring and you could risk spoiling the taste of your pint! Not Recommended! But why should you want to know how to turn beer green? Surely on St Patricks Day the beverage that's drunk is one of Ireland's finest stouts. Guiness drunk in Ireland is a beautiful drink. Certainly a more distinctive taste than in the UK. It has that pure, smooth texture of the creamy head and a gorgeous dark smokey aftertaste. A few other of my favorite Irish stouts include Beamish, Kilkenny and my particular favorite, Murphys. Want to turn that beer green? Perhaps just the once on St Patricks Day.
