It is like something out of a utopian fantasy but it might be true? there are rumors circulating about a new car being released which runs on compressed air It won't make it half the way from Los Angeles to Vegas on a full tank of air but it could be a very cost effective way of scooting around the city.
Unfortunately there is no plan which would enable you to convert your current vehicle's system into a compressed air engine system.
Of course we may have other surprises once these things hit the road
Honda and other companies have these electric hybrids out on the road but in a lot of cases consumers did not realize that every five or so years they will need to replace the batteries at a great expense
But I do have even better news.
There is a new vehicle that runs on?. nothing! I am not joking... no ethanol, no hydrogen, no gasoline for sure, no compressed air... nothing...
OK, before you start hitting me with the Fred Flintsone jokes, let me assure you I am not recommending this plan. I am just using it as a reference to show you that there are folks who are liable to take all sorts of extreme actions just as the Wright Brothers did in their first attempts at creating an airplane, trying to find a solution in order to emancipate the world from the robber barons in the oil and automotive companies.
It is great that people are continuing to innovate but in such an environment it is wise to keep one's feet on the ground and consult practicality which is why I support what is already getting the job done.
