Mobile phones are now considered to be a major means of communication and a classic staple to a person's everyday living. Realizing its huge potential in the market, orange mobile, a UK based telecoms company was one of the many networks to capitalize on this and started offering a wide array of services to the general public which can ultimately prove how technology can affect one's personal lifestyle. Currently, Orange provides both mobile and broadband services not only to the UK but to the Middle East and other European countries as well including France, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Slovakia. Its network of services also reaches some countries in the African continent such as Egypt, Jordan, Madagascar, Cameroon and Botswana.

Interesting to note is the fact that the network's name "orange", bright & colorful as it is, was associated to organization and concentration based from Feng Shui. Orange is established in the UK back in 1994 by Hutchison Telecom until it was bought by France Telecom in 2001.

The company's UK website listed Samsung G600, Sony Ericsson W910i and Nokia 6500 as their chart-toppers in terms of handsets being purchased or preferred by customers since the beginning of their 2008 sales year. Most of the phones they offer have 3G capabilities making them a favorite of clients. It allows for faster network connection and faster data transfer. People who have 3G capable orange phones can access the internet through their phones and can place video calls to other people whose handsets has the same capabilities as well. Personalizing your phone has never been this easy; Orange has its own network portal called the Orange shop where clients can go to should they want to download themes, ring tones, wallpapers and many more straight to their orange mobile phones.

If you're considering a subscription, you can choose from two subscription plans that Orange currently offers the market. The first plan is called "pay-as-you-go" and the other is called the "pay -monthly-plan". Pay-as-you-go enables customers to transfer credits to their accounts by using their purchased Orange swipe cards, or via credit card or debit card payments. Monthly pay plans on the other hand gives would be subscribers the liberty of choosing a payment mode ranging from 12, 18 and 24 months. Orange also offers a selection of mobile phones in assorted brands like the Samsung Giorgio Armani Edition, Nokia 5310 Xpress Music and LG Viewty amongst others.
