There is no better way to show your love for baseball than to don on a baseball cap all the time. Won't they just know that you are a baseball babe or guy if you have those sporty yet trendy headgear coverings your gorgeous locks?

There are now many available baseball caps in the market, not only for the bat enthusiasts but for all sport fields. But, the cap really had its start in baseball. In a lot of ways, the baseball cap became a symbol of the late 20th century, paving its way into popularity with sports.

The Brooklyn Excelsiors was the one who made famous the older version of the modern, rounded-top baseball cap in 1860 until the latex rubber came into becoming the stiffening material inside the hat in the 1940's, giving birth to the modern baseball cap.

A baseball cap is a type of soft hat with a long, stiffened and curved peak and is worn by all sexes of all ages. The back of a cap often than not has a plastic, Velcro, or elastic adjuster so it could fit the size of a wearer, although there are also fitted caps.

The cap is traditionally worn with its peak over the eyes to block the sun but it is sometimes worn backwards or at other angles. Long-haired people sometimes even wear their hair in ponytails, which they pull through the gap above the adjuster.

Major athletic cap makers include Nike and New Era. Baseball caps are made of all types of material and shaped in various styles for different purposes. But wool or brushed cotton are among the most common fabrics used for the caps and they are normally sewn in sections and topped with a matching fabric-covered button on the crown to give it its shape.

There are a lot of available caps for all baseball lovers of all ages. There is the classic wool hats with its structured fit and your favorite team's name on the adjustable Velcro strap.

Tiny tots, toddlers and little boys and girls also have their own share of caps in dark colors for the boys and pink for the girls. Girl infants and toddler get their first caps and hats with the plain logos of MBL teams or ones with dragonflies.
