But, not all ski holidays provide the same aprÃ?s-ski experience. So if you want to enjoy your time off the slopes as much as you do on them then it's important to choose your location wisely.
Finding yourself in a resort where the nightlife is not to your liking can put a real downer on your trip. Luckily there are plenty of resorts to choose from, with each of them providing a very different aprÃ?s-ski experience.
There are ski holidays out there that cater for everyone, but in order to avoid disappointment here are a few things to consider:
&bullAustrian aprÃ?s-ski is considered by many to be the best. Saalbach-Hinterglemm is one such Austrian ski resort in particular that has a reputation for a great night life. Other Austrian ski resorts worth a mention include St Anton, Solden and Mayrhofen.
&bullItaly provides some amazing locations for ski holidays; however the nightlife tends to be liveliest during the weekends.
&bullDue to their design, the purpose built ski resorts of France tend to provide a more relaxed environment. Many of France's resorts are split into 'villages'. This often means that there are too few people in these 'villages' to create any real buzz. They're perfect if you're after a quiet drink but if you want a bit of excitement then larger resorts such as Chamonix or Val d'lsÃ?re are a better option.
