Our Galapagos Expedition Team is making history since for the first-time ever; eighteen persons are part of the team who leads the Galapagos Expedition for our guests. The latest Naturalist Guide Course gave us a rewarding new human resource, which has been carefully screened in order to hire those who achieved outstanding results. This team has been carefully trained in order for them to understand the philosophy behind Metropolitan Touring, the needs and expectations of our clients and guests, and of course, how to keep the islands at a pristine level through environmental interpretation.
It is worth mentioning that we are the only Galapagos operator that has a large staff of Naturalists who are part of the company. We welcome Grace Loza, Veronica Naranjo, MarÃ?a Elena Aviles, Robert Balfour, Aura Banda, Socrates TomalÃ?, Karla Malo, and Lourdes Pesantes. Once they were selected as members of our team, they took several training courses related to natural history, in-depth understanding of our operations, leadership, and an on board time as both interns and trainees, prior to their debut as Naturalist Guides (March 14th). Among the many activities related to their training, some ranked as their favourites: the "First ECO Moment" exercise, snorkelling & fish ID, and several outings where we focused in understanding what is like to interpret natural history.
We wish all of them tremendous success in their new endeavour, and welcome to the world of Metropolitan Touring. We share some images of this really fun and highly motivated group.
