Online car warranty companies

By: Keith Barrett

Many UK consumers feel that they pay too much for car warranty policies. Part of the problem has been that independent car warranty companies have been too slow to embrace the advantages of selling direct to consumers online.

They have largely concentrated their efforts on selling policies to car dealerships and other vehicle retailers.

The reasoning behind that approach seems to have been that they have believed that many car owners are happy buying from retailers since dealerships often already have a high profile presence.

As far as consumers are concerned, the problem with the way in which warranties have been sold has often been that prices have been inflated as a result.

Since the method of selling that's being described will involved car retailers acting as middlemen, it's become inevitable that warranty prices have been inflated.

In essence, this has meant that consumers have not been able to get the cheap deals that should be available.

It finally seems as though specialist warranty dealers are making moves to change the situation. They appear to have awoken to the fact that many of us are happy to buy warranty policies direct from them, as long as the price is right.

This explains the sudden explosion in online car warranty adverts - leading independent car warranty companies are trying to attract your attention.

Should you be attracted?

It's certainly worth looking at the deals available. By selling direct, they've been able to slash prices on many warranty policies.

This often means that buying online could ensure that you get a comprehensive standard of cover, but at a cheaper price than you would otherwise find.
