Financial Independence with Home Business

By: dennisleem
How would you like to have a job that didn't require you to go into the office everyday? You could sit at home in your pajamas if you wished, get up when you want, go to bed when you want, and skip shaving altogether. That's what a home based affiliate business can do for you.

There are two ways to have an affiliate business. One is having a product or service business available online and recruiting people to be affiliates for you. The other is to be an affiliate for one or more internet businesses. Some people even combine the two and have both types of businesses going for them, increasing profits even further. These entrepreneurs are quite wise to the ways of making money in the Internet age.

What is a home based affiliate business? Simply explained, it revolves around an affiliate program, a way of paying commissions or percentages, or some other type of compensation to people who initiate the sale of a product through their website or some other method of linking to the primary business. For instance, a company that makes and sells custom yard signs may form an affiliate program. They promote them on their own web site and pay ten percent of the gross to anyone who drives business to their site resulting in a purchase.

With that in mind, a home based advertising consultant puts a link to the yard sign business on his web site and does mild promotion of it during the course of his business. Since some of his customers need yard signs as cheap advertising methods they click through his link, log on, and buy yard signs. At the end of the month the advertising consultant receives a check for ten percent of all of the business generated from his web site.

Many online bookstores are examples of successful affiliate business models. The same model can work well for work at home people, like work at home moms. One work at home mom I know makes about $500 a month from her online business linking to businesses that sell pet supplies. Her web site is devoted to cats, and the people coming to her site spend a lot of money taking care of their pets.

If you are selling a product or service on the Internet right now, then forming an affiliate network is natural. Figure out how much of your profit you can afford to pay affiliates and be generous. If you are making it worth their while, these people will bring you free business. No advertising or marketing costs involved at all.

And if you can find affiliate programs that will pay you a fair percentage for promoting them and they complement your business, then by all means become an affiliate. A home based affiliate business is a new, and very easy way to make money on the Internet.
