It's that time of the year again and wouldn't you know it... I am running late again. My wife always asks me to do the returns ahead of time but do I ever pay attention to her?
Well, not really and then I am stuck with an all nighter with a stack of receipts and documents all around me. My friend asked if he could do them for me but I just can't let my friend know all of our business.
I am a secluded person and I do not want others, even best friends like him, know our personalized financial business. So I am lying here going through the screens on that new program I bought from the local Best Buy and I have started thinking about what I would like to buy with our money we will get back.
If my wife let's me that is, I would love to invest in one of those HDTVs so I can finally see some high definition channels. How wonderful would it be if I could use a new HDTV to watch the games on the sports station?
I was at my buddy's house that has an HDTV and he showed me all of the HD channels he gets, it's just so awesome that now I want one for us. If she doesn't let me get an HDTV, I may just have to settle for paying off debt like she really wants me to do instead of enjoying some wonderful HD channels.
That's just so dull; tax return money is like free money which means we should be able to use it in a fun way like buying an HDTV. However, she is much more responsible than me and would rather have money in our savings account.
I wonder if I can make a understanding with her and see if she will let me pay off debt with some of the tax return and buy something fun with the rest. Maybe I would still have sufficiency money left over to get a stereo for my new Accord.
Now, that would make me joyful too. During the summer, the sun comes beaming down into my vehicle and even my spouse says she hates how hot it is inside of it. I bet I could really talk her into that for half of it.
I wonder how much I will really make out of the taxman this year. I hope it's more than three years ago; we only got about $87 dollars, which didn't buy us a whole lot of anything. It would be nice if I could have 10 times that. Well, I have finished my returns and know what I will be getting...no TV again this year...
