Time to Upgrade?

Samsung have announced their follow up to the G800 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It looks to be intended as a rival to the N95, indeed it looks quite similar and has very similar features - in that it pretty much has everything you could be looking for in a mobile phone. The Samsung G810 has a brushed silver metal finish and is a slide phone.

The Samsung G810 has almost identical features to the G800, with it's impressive 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom (which is very rarely seen on a camera phone) and xenon flash, 3G, MP3 player and FM radio.

The Samsung G810 does however boast a few more interesting features than it's predecessor which will enable it to compete with the Nokia N95 and N96. It has built in GPS with geo-tagging for those looking for a satellite navigation feature, it is running on the Symbian S60 operating system as does the Nokia N95, and the G810 is equipped with Wi-Fi meaning you can get onto the web at hotspots or via wireless broadband.

The Samsung G810 is rumoured for release as early as March 2008, but no word has been said on pricing as yet, I would expect that it will carry a fairly substantial price tag with all the features that it is packing.
