Be Safe - Backup

By: John Gray

Have you ever lost your mobile phone, had it stolen or simply broken it, which has resulted in you loosing all of your favourite photos, special text messages, or video footage from a special occasion?

With more and more people's memories becoming digitalised, due to mobile phones now coming equip with cameras and video cameras, it is important to back up our precious mobile phone content to ensure we don't loose it.

O2 have come up with a new service for their customers that will take the stress out of loosing precious content, by saving it automatically on the internet. O2's Bluebook service automatically saves your text messages and picture messages, as well as backing up all of your phone numbers, keeping all of your valuable memories safe.

Any photos that you have taken and wish to keep safe can be sent in a text message to O2 and will be saved online with your other mobile phone content.

Bluebook also offers a blogging facility were O2 customers can blog their daily lives using the text messages and pictures that they have saved online. O2 customers can sign up to the new service by going to O2 online, were an online tutorial will guide you through how to sync up your mobile phone and get Bluebook up and running.

People who are not customers of O2 can save their pictures and videos on their computers by using a blue tooth dongle to transfer the information, or by using a USB cable to sync up your mobile phone with your PC. Some mobile phone software will allow you to sync up with your contacts and even back up your text messages, so you can create your own 'Bluebook' if you want too!
