Carphone Warehouse have announced three new tariffs on their own Talkmobile range. They have announced a new Prepay tariff which is 15 pence a minute for the first three minutes of the day and then it drops down to just 10 pence per minute. This also gives you unlimited (read 'fair use policy of 2,000 per month') text messages to other Talkmobile customers until 30th September 2008. This is quite a good tariff for those on Prepay, especially since it runs off the Vodafone network - who currently charge up to 30 pence per minute for a Prepay call.
Talkmobile have also got a new international sim, Talkmobile World, which offers international calls from as little as 4 pence per minute, to a whole host of international destinations. Plus international text messages will cost just 15 pence per message.
And finally they have released Control, which is a U-Fix style tariff that gives you an allowance of minutes and messages that cut off once they have been used. Once your monthly allowance has gone you can continue to use your phone if you top up, like with a PAYG/Prepay phone.
Control has two tariffs:
Talk Control - 100 minutes and 25 texts
Text Control - 150 texts and 25 minutes
Both the tariffs will be ?15 per month if you choose to have a new mobile phone, or ?10 if you choose the sim only option. If you are looking for a new deal that will not let you run up a huge bill, or you have a son or daughter who is eager to get their first mobile this could be the option for you. You are guaranteed to have a set bill each month, but can choose to top up if you need to use your phone.
All three off the new Talkmobile offers are not available online at the moment, but can be bought at any Carphone Warehouse store.
