Nothing Compares To The Real Thing

By: Jim Williams

My family has been watching my new HDTV my wife purchased for me from the Fenton Sears and I have really enjoyed the HD Travel Channel. There are so numerous lovely places in the world like Spain, Smokey Mountains and Niagara Falls.

HD TVs are extraordinary in giving you the experience of these locations because it gives you such a great HD showing. The problem is that since the HDTV and HD channel makes those places appear so great, I want to go travelling.

My wife is a big on staying close to home and spending Friday nights in front of our HDTV watching movies. I guess it's my fault because I did beg her for it. I never guessed she would get preoccupied with it. She loves all our shows in high definition and can't get enough of it.

So one morning I researched some numbers on how much it would cost to take a journey to the Grand Canyon. I figured we could rent a mini van and cruise cross-country. It would give us a possibility to spend quality time together and admire the beauty the world has to give us.

The quote I got from the vehicle rental place was not as much as I anticipated and I was able to get a great rate for a motel on the internet. Everything was set and all she had to do was say, "yes". I took her out to dinner the night I wanted to spring this adventure on her.

I encouraged her to have her favorite mixed drink too. I didn't want to get her intoxicated but she may be more open to the idea with a couple of cocktails in her. After her 2nd glass of Pinot, I brought out my paperwork.

Immediately her face changed and she gave me that, "What have you been up to?" look. It didn't appear good. After I went through my line about how extraordinary the Grand Canyon looked on HD and all of my figures, I waited for a comeback.

It felt like an eternity before my spouse nonchalantly said, "Okay." I nearly fell out of my seat because I was almost convinced she would have started telling me that it was too much money and it wasn't a realistic way for us to spend our savings.

I am so thrillful about our journey. I think my spouse is equally ready even though she would never admit to it. I just know it's going to do great things for our marriage and give us the break we so desperately always wanted.
