Innocent Blue

By: Satish Verma

Several times the game of words insults the life.
The mirror breaks.
Death eats the hope.
I become frightened through a prayer.
Reason does not crack the myth.
Flesh devours the god.
Skull becomes dry.
Religion does not own the temple.

Go in silence, for your truth.
It lies buried in the tears
When you pick it up in nude,
It strikes you in the face.
Blood spills, but you need a fire in the eyes.
Go in peace for your hunger,
Pain in your mind.

A strong effort to be alive defeats the will to die
A contriteful paradox.
I lay down the seize.
Fear grips my throat.
Moment to moment I watch the death,
Creeping under the ground,
Trying to break the innocent blue.
