Tutor

By: Satish Verma

Cannot climb a golden ladder
to reach for a nimbus.
something is happening to my limbs.

Light will not escape from the shadow
I will follow the dark horizon.
A bridge was necessary
to cover the ice
my foot prints were floating on the water.

My bounteous mother,
I will remember your tears
as a parting gift !

My chemistry is boiling
could you not swipe a spider
climbing on the door of a painted house
called birthday ?

I am getting older day by day
and death is waiting like a tutor.
Exams is drawing near.
A sense of anaesthesia comes to curtains
They forgot to change the scene
and I am weary of the end.
