Web Design Creativity Tips

By: Nicole Hester-Francis

Do you find yourself writing at 12am.....jotting down metaphors, connecting them into stanzas? Does poetry consume your heart, mind and soul? Are you a poet seeking to 'hone' or 'enhance' your craft? Maybe you're looking to network with others that share your passion? Have the above questions aroused your creative curiously? Then look no further then PoetryAsArt.com, an innovative creation of husband and wife duo Lance and Michelle Toohey. In which the Toohey's combine both of their creative abilities together as Lance is the poet, (his style is similar to John Keats) toying with phrases and words of old, sonnets of lost and present love, you will find yourself lost in his garland of expressions. While wife, Michelle, adds visual life to her husbands' sea of emotions, her airbrush style of modern art will give new meaning to poetry as art. "Poetry and art was combined after Michelle decided to create airbrush prints
for some of my works, she is always seeking inspiration for new works and
this became an easy way for her, I present her a poem and she gets out her
paint and just goes wild" says Lance Toohey.

Lance wrote his first poem in 1964 and his second in 2004. Incredibly different from most writers, Lance had a chance to hibernate has creative abilities and unleash a book of poetry entitled 'An Amorous Aussie - Sensual Poetry', that would even make the Browning's and Sir William Shakespeare gasp at his ability to breathe life into words.

The Toohey's have built their new site around this very concept of poetry as art. Just recently they decided to take their site a step forward as Lance and other members of an old poetry site he was affiliated with, cease to exist, Lance and the other members long to recapture the lasting friendships they shared. The old site functioned as a family, offering constructive feedback and support to fellow members who were looking to enhance their writing skills. "After the old poets.com closed down, everyone I spoke too missed the
friendships that were created there, we all went off in different directions
and so many great friendships created on that site just seemed to vanish. I
was determined to try to do something about it and the only way I could
think of was to start my own site" said Toohey which was how the new PoetryAsArt.com was formed. The Toohey's would like PoetryAsArt.com to be a "home" for friends to visit, to chat, to express, to give help to new writers, in all to be a place that when you log in you know a friend with the same passion as yourself is at the other end. Through the site you can also have your very own poetry and art immortalized on canvas or Choose from any of Michelle's selection of airbrush designs, which makes a unique Valentine's or Mother's Day gift.
