Black Bean Cheese Dip

Black Bean Cheese Dip is a new twist on an old theme. I love black bean dips and this one is so good! It's especially great if your dippers are a bit on the fragile side.

This dip has a soft, creamy texture that is excellent with vegetable dippers or dippers that break easily. In fact, a couple of excellent suggestions for dippers are Crispy Won Ton Skins or Homemade Potato Chips.

And believe it or not, it's also GREAT as a filler for Nachos. Just layer your tortilla chips with this dip and Presto! You have an original Nachos dish.

Tip: You can substitute low-fat cream cheese if desired, but don't use whipped cream cheese - it'll fall apart on you.

What you'll need:
- 16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 16 ounces black beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 small red onion (minced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)>
- dash hot pepper sauce

Pretty simple chip dip recipe...
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until the texture is smooth. Next, spoon the dip into a bowl and cover it. Chill the dip for a minimum of three hours. The best thing about this dip is you can easily make it the night before and store it in your refrigerator overnight.

You can serve Black Bean Cheese Dip chilled or at room temperature. You can even serve it slightly heated.

This is a wonderful dip to serve if you are having a Halloween party - or any kind of a party! If you love chips and dip, you'll love this recipe.
