Caesar Cocktail |
Caesars, those spicy little concoctions of vodka and clamato goodness. A favourite among women and men alike, this Caesar Cocktail is sure to be a crowd pleaser the next time you host a party. Add it to your repertoire by following the five easy steps below. Step 1: Collect your Ingredients
Step 2: Salty Rim Grab your high ball glass, turn it upside down and dip the rim into the bowl of lemon juice and then dip the wet rim into the bowl with celery salt. Ease the rim into the celery salt. If you push too hard the salt won't stick to the top of the rim, so take it easy. Step 3: Mixing Mayhem Fill the glass about three quarters of the way full with ice. Splash an ounce of Vodka into the glass and watch it trickle down the ice (you don't actually have to watch it, it's just fun to do when you're bored). Add the clamato juice until the fluid level is about a half inch (1.75cm) from the salt rim. Find your handy dandy stirring stick and mix everything together. Don't get too wild though, you might wash away the salt rim. There is no Gold Bartending Star for people who wash away the salt rim! Moving right along. Step 4: Late Additions Now is the time to add the salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce. I recommend asking whoever you're making the drink for to watch you add these so they can tell you when to stop. Better yet, have them do it! Then you can relax a bit. Step 5: Garnishing Finally, you can add the garnish. Again, this depends on the taste of the individual you are making the drink for. If you have a choice between pickled beans, asparagus (raw or pickled or both) and celery you should be able to make almost anyone happy. The asparagus and the celery are a healthy treat and can be double as a handy stirring stick for your guest. There, you've just made your first Caesar. Feels pretty good, right? Be careful though, if you get too good at it you'll be spending the whole night mixing drinks.
