Jello Shot Recipe Ideas |
How to Make Jello Shots In this article I am going to show you how to make a jello shot. Jello shots are really good fun at parties and get togethers, but be careful now, although they are sweet they are also very potent, so you would take to much alcohol and end up completely inebriated and could end up hurting yourself. Jello Shot Ingredients and Supply For ingesting jello shots, you will either need some plastic shot glasses or small paper or plastic cups. The glasses or cups used by bars or diners to hold condiments are excellent because they are the perfect size for a decent sized shot. Another thing you will need some vegetable oil cooking spray. If you spray a little bit of this inside the cups before adding the jello shot mix, the shots will not stick to the sides and will easily slide out and down you throat. Now don’t worry, you will not taste the oil in any shape way or form. You will also require a batch of fruity flavoured jello (what ever flavour you want it doesn’t matter), boiling water, ice cold water and some form of hard liquor (vodka works best as it blends well with most other liquors and liqueurs as well most flavours of jello). Recreate Your Favourite Drinks In Jello Shot Form Most folks use vodka for their jello shot mixes, but you can get imaginative and reinvent your favourite drinks in jello form. One good example is to use lime flavoured jello and tequila to make a margarita jello shot, strawberry jello and rum for a daiquiri jello shot, or pineapple jello and coconut flavoured rum for a pina colada jello shot. Melt the Jello For each cup of jello you use will call for 1 cup of boiling water. Empty out the bag or box of the jello into a large mixing bowl. Then pour in the boiling water and cover the jello. Stir the water and the jello together for approximately 2 min until the jello is dissolved completely. Add the Liquor The jello shot recipe calls for 1 cup of cold water. Instead, we are going to use 1/4 cup of water and 3/4 cups of liquor. Add these to the jello, and stir them in. Refrigerate the Jello Shot Mix Now, use a ladle to transfer the jello into the plastic cups. Place these in the refrigerator for at least four hours until the jello sets.
