Science has brought many changes in all fields and one of them is eye surgery. In medical science, laser eye surgery is the most successful one for eyes. Laser eye surgery is the best to way to get rid of eyesight problem. It will correct your vision. Millions of people all over the world have taken advantage of this surgery. It is in great demand because of simple surgery. For those who are unaware of this surgery, they might be confused how it works. Eye vision depends on cornea tissue. With the help of this tissue you see. It decides how far or close you can see. Surgery of eye takes very less time. Laser rays burn the tissue around your eye's cornea .When this tissue is removed, the laser then reshapes the cornea. Excimer is high quality and high precision laser used in laser eye surgery. When the burned tissues is removed, then the light rays will be refracted properly and fall on the retina of the eyes. Then your vision will increase. Vision correction problem can be solved up to more extent.
For every other person it is reshaped in different way. You couldn't find any simpler way to correct eye vision than this eye surgery. It is available for every body of all age's .But for children doctors will suggest as per eye vision of your child. This treatment is done everywhere in the world. Sometimes there are complications during surgery so; it must be carried out in manner as other surgeries are carried out. But there are hardly five percent chances of failure. It only improves your eye vision, it will not make it correct hundred per cent. You will be free from the use of glasses and lenses. Laser eye surgery is very safe and has no side effects. There may be experience of slight eye irritation in few cases. If you find more problems then consult your doctor Cataract is also a vision problem. You will have problem in seeing. In cataract, the light will not reach the convex lenses of eye or it will be partially blocked out. It's a normal case of aging person.
In most cases, both eyes are affected by cataract but one eye is more affected than other one. In starting time it is minimal; people don't feel it or know they are sufferer of cataract. Those who have more cataract problem they have vision problem in daily lives. They may have problem of color vision and also double vision. Cataract people have also problem in driving at night. In most cases doctors gives glasses and lenses to their patients. If this is not enough then surgery is suggested. Laser surgery is one way to remove cataract. This surgery is carried out by the uses of laser light instead of ultrasound. Cataract surgery is not carried in normal doctor's clinic. It needs more care with all instruments in opening eyes. It takes weeks to be in normal position of eye or in healing. It is suggested to patients first get the treatment of one eye then the other one.
Vision Laser Eye Surgery
Heralded as a revolution by people who need glasses to read, laser eye surgery can eternally change your vision by reshaping the cornea. After a hinged flap is cut a portion of the cornea is revealed and exposed to laser pulses that vaporise the cornea and correct the shape permanently. This procedure can help myopic people suffering from sight-sightedness, and hyperopic sufferers with long-sightedness. However there is still the inevitable issue of age.
Presbyopia is the condition where our eye's ability to focus on close objects deteriorates. This occurs naturally as we get older and the crystalline lens' elasticity is reduced. Over time it becomes so rigid that it's beyond the control of the cornea, and therefore the eye muscles can't change the lens's shape in order to focus.
Now don't cancel your laser eye surgery appointment just yet but recent advancements in the field of vision are yielding some interesting results. Electronic bifocals look like something straight out of a Philip K. Dick novel and could have a ground breaking impact on the world of optical science. For anyone who requires bifocals you will know how frustrating it can be with a limited field of vision, being able to make out objects at a distance but unable to distinguish things at too close a proximity and having to continually shift your line of sight to do so. Well imagine you could do it at the flick of a switch. That is the premise of the electronic bifocals being developed by Guoqiang Li and fellow researchers at the University of Arizona.
The prototype pair of glasses is a crude looking piece of kit with two black boxes containing the driver chip which are positioned on the frames by the wearer's ear. Each lens is made up of two flat glass plates sandwiching a shape-shifting layer of liquid crystal that is as thin as a single strand of human hair. When a current is activated by the user and runs through the electrodes, it causes the liquid crystals to change composition and simulate the close focusing power of the natural human eye lens. To alternate between one focus and the other the subject uses a switch on a mini battery pack that can be attached to a belt or concealed in a pocket. Soon, however, the creators are hoping to integrate sensors into the technology so a switch will no longer be necessary and the focus of the electronic bifocals with be automated.
It sounds the stuff of science fiction but the work being executed in Arizona is very real and could spell the future of vision and our window to the world.
