I have been doing a bit of digging on the different methods to save dollars and have located several good ideas amongst those that are not so valuable.
Suggestions that are not so helpful are those that are unrealistic ("pay off your credit cards now and save interest" which you would (have done if you were able to), lame (coupons and rebates and silly scams like that) and too much of a sacrifice (use public transportation, etc)
So, here are a few valid suggestions...
1. BUY GENERIC PRODUCTS - Do you really need Betty Crocker cooking oil when you can purchase the exact same thing cheaper made by Albertson's? Multiply that across peanut butter, toilet paper (Target has the best!), other paper products like tissue paper, breakfast cereal and you are looking at noticeable savings with no sacrifice!
2. LEAVE THE CREDIT CARDS HOME WHEN YOU GO TO THE BAR! - Drink less, be less of "Mr Big Spender", less hangover in the morning!
3. USE VOIP - What's VOIP? Voice Over Internet Protocol. If you use SKYPE for instance, it costs essentially nothing and you can save the expense of a traditional phone line. If you connect to the net using Cable TV then you don't have a need for a phone line at all.
4. GET PAID BY DIRECT DEPOSIT/ACH - Why does this save cash? Have you ever gone to deposit a check and not taken a bit of cash out? If you get paid by direct deposit then you won't have that temptation!
5. PAY YOURSELF FIRST - This is more a savings plan then a way to save on items you are buying but it is all about more money for you, right? Take 10% of each paycheck off the top and plunk it into a different savings account that you don't touch. And FORGET it is there. You will discover that you get by just fine without it and actually build up some savings. Some ways to do this... if you got a raise deposit that surplus money in that account. If you paid off a debt continue to pay it but to yourself. Think of some ideas of your own.
6. SAVE ON AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING - Run the thermostat at the lowest energy use (like at 50 degrees in the Winter) during the night and have a room heater. I have a small room heater that I purchased at the drug store for $23. That thing cranks. I hardly have to have it above the lowest level and it is more than enough to heat the room.
7. OPTIMIZE YOUR GASOLINE CONSUMPTION - Properly using water in your gas/gasoline system can save you up to 1/3 off gasoline expenses for your auto by making the fuel you buy perform better. If you pay $40/week for gas you might just save $600 or more per year!

Time is money and most of us cannot spend our time looking for cheap fuel by spending for the most of our days. At the same time everyone does not have enough time to do other things. To saving money also depends on how you spend your precious time.

Only 15 percent of the fuel that you put into your car gets used and the rest of the energy is lost for many reasons. It is important to maintain your car and have an understanding of how your vehicle operates. If this information is foreign to you, you may consider taking a basic mechanics course to gain some knowledge.
The more that you understand about the way that your vehicle runs, and what it takes to properly maintain it, the more success you will have when it comes to understanding what steps to take to start saving money. If only 15 percent of the fuel that you pay for gets used that means that you need to be absolutely certain that the condition in which your car is running is as efficient as it can be. In addition to a mechanics course you may be able to find fuel saving tips that are available through a small mini-course at your local college.
You can try to shop around in your local area for the cheapest gas that you can find but you shouldn't go too far out of your way to try and get that best price unless you're already traveling in that direction anyway. Once you start driving around looking for the gas pump that can beat the one in your neighborhood you start to increase the amount of money that you spend on your driving expenses.
Since your goal is to save money you would be defeating the purpose by driving around for too long. Studies done by the AAA indicate that it will cost you approximately 51.7 cents per mile to drive your car this year.
While you are driving to a location that you would normally be going anyway you can of course keep your eyes open for the cheapest gas. If you know of a certain gas station that consistently sells lower priced gas and it's out of your way you might want to consider making a weekly or bi-weekly journey to this destination.
This way you can take a day to get gas, buy your groceries, and take a walk in the park within a different area of the city where you live. In effect, what you are doing is multitasking and saving money on your fuel costs at the same time.
This, we hope will help you to figure out the fuel rates for your convenience. For more information you can also check the given website.
