Among the pioneers who helped to shape generations of exceptional individuals in Japan, one name stands out prominently – Professor TAGO AKIRA. A graduate from the famous University of Tokyo, Tago Akira had immersed himself in the education field and authored numerous inspiring educational books. Hailed as one of the most influential educators of our times, Professor Tago was recently awarded the prestigious Tokyo Honorary Citizen Award in October 2007.

One of Tago’s recent achievements was “Professor Layton & the Curious Village” - a Nintendo video game based on his best-selling Atama no Taiso series of books that sold more than 12 million copies. Further to that, it has been made into an anime movie “Professor Layton & the Eternal Diva” that is due to release in 2010. Be sure to catch that!
